When they talk about luxury confectionery in Tuscany, one of the names mentioned as a grand maestro is Paolo Sacchetti, along with his wife Edi owner since 1989 of the Caffè Nuovo Mondo, and deputy chairman of the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani.
Sacchetti has been dedicated to his career since the age of 16, and after apprenticeships with numerous Florentine confectioners decided to open his own business in Via Garibaldi in the very heart of Prato.
The name “Nuovo Mondo” implies a new study of traditional confectionery.
Today the shop has become a meeting place for both enthusiasts and expert sweet tooths to taste the many specialities it offers: from a cremino hot from the oven to the mouthwatering mignon confectionery, to the vast assortment of single portions that make up the extensive array presented. The production cornerstones are: the high quality of the raw materials, the seasonal nature of the production and constant research.
